May 6

Mark J. Yonge, Jr., 40, 909 Holgate Ave., Defiance, was sentenced to 240 days jail for felony non-support. He was given credit for 150 days served. He was placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment recommended.

Amanda E Quintero, 38, 215 Orchard Drive, Lot 7, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. She faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1:30 p.m. June 6.

May 7

Teresa M. Dear, 24, 631 W. Sycamore St., Apt. B7, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle. She faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was modified to OR with conditions, while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10 a.m. June 6. A charge of possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Micheala Wells, 24, 24124 Road 48, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs. She faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond as continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10:30 a.m. June 6. A charge of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine) was dismissed.

Eli M. Schroeder, 22, 109 S. Broadway St., Columbus Grove, was given a reduction of 9 days on his jail sentence and was ordered to be released June 12. He Had been convicted on charges of failure to comply and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

May 9

Upon motion of Putnam County Prosecutor Gary Lammers, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and his designee are appointed to act as a special prosecuting attorney with respect to the alleged criminal offenses believed to have occurred in Putnam County Ohio. The matter involves possible criminal violations of law by an employee of a statutory client of the county prosecutor, which presents a conflict of interest for the county prosecutor. The appointees shall have and will exercise all rights, privileges and powers of the prosecuting attorney during the investigation and or prosecution.

May 6

Wayne R. Settlemire, 62, 116 N. High St., Apt. C, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to driving under OVI suspension. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $250 fine.

Joshua L. Bauer, 30, 1291 N. Defiance St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 150 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $625 suspended, three-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP and complete drug and alcohol assessment. Boone L. Warnimont, 22, 5238 Road 16C, Continental, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: Four points, 30 days jail, 27 days suspended, $250 fine.

James Berger, 28, 68 Main St., Leipsic, pleaded no contest to license forfeiture and was found guilty. Sentence: $100 fine. He was fined $50 for fictitious registration and ordered to pay court costs for failure to properly display registration.

May 7

Joshua J. Inkrott, 22, 10326 Road E, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of reckless operation. Sentence: $150 fine. A charge of turn signals was dismissed.

Brian M. Wenzlick, 44, 22530 Road N, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP.

May 9

Salvador Pena, Jr., 40, 563 S. Oak St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to driving under FRA non-compliance. Sentence: $150 fine. A charge of expired plates was dismissed.

Victoria L. Panning, 57, 514 Burt St., Van Wert, pleaded guilty to first offense OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 150 days suspended, $750 fine, $250 suspended, two-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP and complete drug and alcohol assessment. A charge of turn signals was dismissed.
