LIMA — Lima’s iHeartRadio station WIMA 1150 AM has downsized its local programming efforts.

“From time to time, we review our programming and make adjustments,” Senior Vice President of Programming JB Webb said in a email sent to The Lima News. “Gordon Deal has been featured on WIMA for some time and will continue as the WIMA morning show. Long-time 1150 WIMA broadcaster Todd Walker will remain covering and reporting news and sports.”

Webb said the station does not comment on personnel matters.

Prior to the move, the morning time slot was filled by “Mike Miller and the WIMA Morning News,” and radio personality Jason Aldrich worked as the station’s program director. According to online sources, the two had a combined 37 years with the company.

Earlier this month, iHeart Media emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to reduce its $16.1 billion debt to $5.75 billion through a restructuring of the company’s capital structure and separation with Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, according to Radio Business Report.
