Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force kicking off counts


Allen County Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force Counting Kick-off: 10:45 a.m., Cambridge Center, 418 N. Central Ave., Lima. Bicycle and pedestrian count volunteers.

LIMA — The Allen County Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force will kick off its bicycle and pedestrian counts with Counting Kick-off at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at the Cambridge Center, 418 N. Central Ave., Lima.

The task force is seeking volunteers to help count pedestrians and bicyclists at key locations around Allen County starting on May 13. The counts will measure effects of infrastructure improvements, such as signage, crosswalks and bikeways, and land use changes on pedestrians and cyclists. Volunteers can sign up for two-hour blocks at several locations at j.mp/2GShoCd.

All volunteers can stop in at the kick-off event for a free t-shirt, lunch and to pick up paperwork.
