LIMA — Ronda Lehman is the new president of Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Lehman transitioned to her role as president on April 29 after serving as the hospital’s interim president since Jan. 24. She was previously the vice president and chief operating officer of Mercy Health Physicians in Lima, working with Mercy Health’s primary care and specialty clinics in the region.
Lehman is the first female lay person to serve as the medical center’s president.
Lehman, a native of Lima, started her career with Mercy Health as a pharmacist in 1995. She has since held leadership roles like director of pharmacy and, more recently, COO of Mercy Health Physicians and chief network integration officer for the Lima region.
She assumed the interim position after the departure of the hospital’s past president, Dale Gisi.
Lehman completed her bachelor’s degree at Ohio Northern University and later obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University and MBA from Tiffin University. She also completed the executive management program for pharmacy leaders at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained her fellow status at the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2014.
