Putnam County Common Pleas Court

April 15

David M. Berridge, Jr., 24, 619 Euclid St., Defiance, was given a reduction of sentence of nine days and is to be released May 6. He was convicted of failing to pay child support.

James R. Botts, 46, 201 Ohio St., Trenton, pleaded guilty to non-support. He faces up to 12 months in prison, and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 11 a.m. June 6.

April 17

Jason G. Bender, 41, 13911 Watkins Road, Marysville, was sentenced to six months in jail for possession of drugs (methamphetamine).

Austin Troy, 23, 1387 N. Cole St., Lima, was remanded to the WORTH Center for aggravated possession of drugs (oxycodone). He was placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment and complete any counseling and treatment recommended. Charges of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and aggravated possession of drugs (alprazoam) were dismissed.

Tina M. Candia, 50, 1144 E. Second St., Apt. A, Ottawa, was sentenced to 90 days jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include having a theft conviction in Defiance Municipal Court, resisting arrest, attempting to cause harm to a family member and testing positive for alcohol. She was given credit for 22 days served, placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete any counseling and treatment recommended. Candia must also pay $228 in restitution. She was originally convicted of misuse of credit cards.

Gerald J. Okuley, 26, 12508 Road G, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated possession of drugs. He faces up to 180 days in jail and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1 p.m. May 30.

April 18

Abel E. Alafa, 46, 212 N. Belmore St., Leipsic, was sentenced to 120 days in jail for menacing by stalking and non-support of dependents. He must have no contact with the victim and no presence in Napoleon, Ohio. He was placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment, complete any counseling and treatment recommended, and obtain a GED. He must pay restitution of $187.25. A charge of telecommunication harassment was dismissed.

Jared M. Taber, 33, 2630 Hanthorn Road, Lima, was sentenced to 20 days for failure to pay support. He was given credit for eight days served.

Connie L Wilson, Cloverdale, was granted a divorce from Jerome Wilson, Somerset, Ky. They were married June 8, 2000 in Paulding County and have no children.

Adam Koebel, 35, 631 W. Sycamore St., Apt. B-12, Columbus Grove, had his sentenced reduced by eight days and will be released May 5. He had been convicted of non-support of dependents.

Orlando Lopez, 44, 1420 N. Elizabeth St., Lima, pleaded guilty to theft. Sentence: 180 days jail, $150 fine, and perform 40 hours community service.

Dustin Owsley, 28, 72 Town Square, Apt. 604, Lima, pleaded no contest to endangering children and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 90 days suspended, $250 fine.

April 18

Andrew J. Hoyt, 19, 15470 Bent Tree Drive, Findlay, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of disorderly conduct. Sentence: $150 fine.
