Passenger on motorcycle killed

BLUFFTON — A passenger on a motorcycle was killed Sunday when it struck a car near Bluffton.

Anne M. Lee, 50, of Arlington was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Interstate-75 and state Route 103.

According to a report from the Findlay post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Nissan Sentra driven by Matthew Pfenninger, 42, of Cincinnati, was southbound on the I-75 exit ramp to the state highway when he pulled from a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a motorcycle operated by Larry Lee, 53, of Arlington.

Mr. Lee was transported by Bluffton EMS to Bluffton Hospital and was then flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo by Medflight. Pfenninger was not injured.

Assisting on the scene were: Bluffton Police Department, Bluffton EMS, Bluffton Fire Department, Hanco EMS, Frank’s Automotive, Dick’s Towing, and troopers from the Lima and Findlay posts. The crash remains under investigation.
