Supreme Court issues technology grants to Van Wert court

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Supreme Court announced 47 court projects across the state receiving more than $2.9 million total in this year’s technology grant funding.

Included is $2,380 for upgrades to case managements systems in Van Wert Common Pleas Court.

Case management upgrades and security improvements are among the local technology projects selected to receive funding through the Ohio Courts Technology Initiative.

This is the fifth year of disbursements since Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor initiated the program, with more than $14 million being received by courts across Ohio.

“Courts today must do more with less, and technology can go a long way toward filling that gap,” O’Connor said.
