LIMA — A 52-year-old man described in court documents as homeless pleaded not guilty Monday to new charges of aggravated burglary and retaliation, felonies of the first and third degrees, respectively, during an appearance in Allen County Common Pleas Court.
The charges were handed down in March by an Allen County grand jury.
Kenith Varno was indicted by the grand jury in February on charges of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and felonious assault, a felony of the second degree, for his alleged involvement in a Dec. 30 armed robbery at the Circle K at 2054 N. West St. in Lima.
The new charges are related to the same incident.
Varno waived his constitutional right to a speedy trial on the new charges during his court appearance Monday.
