Police: Lima man stabbed by stepfather during squabble

LIMA — Lima police say a 25-year-old Lima man was stabbed by his stepfather during an argument Monday evening.

According to a spokesman for the Lima Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 9 p.m. to 900 Albert Street in reference a possible stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Christopher Lujan, 25, and Russell Smith 49, had been involved in a verbal argument. During the argument, Smith stabbed his stepson in his left leg. Lujan sustained a non-life threatening injury and was treated at a local hospital and later released.

Smith was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of felonious assault.
