AKRON — Andrew Rinringer and Rachel Michels, of Akron, brought their 1983 Mazda RX-7 to the Westgate Charity Car Show. They have owned it since 2016. The duo attend the University of Northwestern Ohio.

The RX-7 debuted in the United States in 1978. The public loved the little sportster. It became known as the practical sports car offered at a lower price than most of its competitors. Production of the Mazda RX-7 ran from 1978 to 2002.

Rinringer and Michels enjoy driving the car when it’s nice out.
