COLDWATER — Tom and Barb Risch, of Coldwater, brought their 1951 Ford Truck to the Westgate Charity Car Show last year. They have owned it for four years now.

Ford produced a broad range of “postwar trucks” from 1948 to 1952, ranging from half-ton pickups to commercial vehicles. The cab of the truck was roomy, with Ford using the word “living room.”

A new grille was featured on the trucks, giving the trucks a more aggressive look.

Risch did the restoration on his ‘51. It took him 14 months to complete.

“We had a 1941 Plymouth, and she did not like the coupe,” Risch said. “She saw this truck, and it fit our wants.
