LIMA — Ronda Lehman, vice president and chief operating officer of Mercy Health Physicians in Lima, has been named interim president at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center following the recent departure of former president Dale Gisi.
Gisi left the hospital in late January and has taken a position as senior vice president of ThedaCare, a seven-hospital health system serving Northeast Wisconsin. Gisi is also serving as president of the system’s two metro hospitals in Appleton and Neenah.
He had been with Mercy Health for five years, beginning as vice president of operations for St. Rita’s and serving most recently as president of the medical center.
Lehman joined Mercy Health in 1995 as a pharmacy intern and has excelled in several leadership roles, including director of pharmacy and vice president of operations for the hospital before assuming her current duties.
As COO, she has worked with the primary care and specialty practices and the hospitalists program throughout the region, as well as Mercy Health’s Clinically Integrated Network.
Lehman is a native of Lima. She received her Bachelor of Science from Ohio Northern University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University. In addition, she has completed her MBA at Tiffin University and the Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a 2006 graduate of the CHP Leadership Academy. In 2014, Lehman obtained her fellow status with the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is also an adjunct faculty member at ONU.
