Car strikes cruiser stopped at accident scene on Interstate 75

WAPAKONETA — A Fairfield man was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle after striking an Ohio State Highway Patrol cruiser on Interstate 75 near Wapakoneta on Sunday.

According to a news release, at around 9 p.m. Sunday State Trooper Wesley Ditto, 36, was blocking the left northbound lane of the interstate due to a crash. He noticed a black Honda approach his vehicle in his mirrors and saw that vehicle start to spin out of control.

Ditto tried to move his vehicle out of the way but was struck in the right rear of his vehicle.

Clinton Anderson, of Fairfield, was cited as the result of the crash. No one was hurt.
