County loans $100,000 to RTA to survive shutdown

LIMA — Allen County Commissioners approved a formerly discussed memorandum of understanding with the Allen County Regional Transit Authority Thursday morning in order to loan the transportation organization $100,000 to deal with complications caused by the federal shutdown.

Together with contract advances, the loan should help ACRTA survive over the next 10 weeks if the federal shutdown continues to freeze federal assets used by ACRTA for operations cost.
