Mennonite Memorial Home hosting presentation on Parkinson’s Disease for social workers, public


Parkinson’s Disease presentation: 12:30-1:30 p.m., Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.

BLUFFTON — The Mennonite Memorial Home will host a free presentation on Parkinson’s Disease from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton. Lunch will be provided.

The presentation provides CEUs for social workers and nurses. The public is also welcome to attend.

Presenter Jenna Cotterman, MOT/OTR/L will describe basic brain functions, etiology and disease processes of Parkinson’s Disease and other types of dementia. She will discuss lifestyle practices for optimizing physical, emotional and cognitive functioning, symptom management and interventions for individuals with these diseases.

Social work CEUs are provided by the University of Findlay, and nursing units are offered through Blanchard Valley Health System.
