CELINA — After an alleged late night domestic attack last weekend, Celina police are still on the lookout for a man who is reported to be armed and dangerous.
According to police reports, Mitchell Dale Mullins, 43, “brutally” attacked his wife, Jessica Mullins, as his family was working on a puzzle late on Thursday night. When police responded, they found the 38-year-old woman badly beaten, having suffered closed fists strikes and kicks until she was no longer conscious. An adult child was also on scene waiting for police.
Mitchell Mullins fled the scene before police arrived, and Jessica Mullins was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious head injuries.
Currently at large, police are warning that there is reason to believe that Mitchell Mullins is armed with at least two firearms, and has a history of violence, including multiple counts of felonious assault, domestic violence and menacing by stalking. For this latest incident, Mullins has been charged with domestic violence, a third-degree felony, and the case is being reviewed by Mercer County Prosecutor Matthew K. Fox for possible additional charges.
Mullins is described as 5’ 5”, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is also known to shave his head, which is covered in tattoos. Mullins was last seen driving a white 1995 GMC Suburban with Ohio license plates, GLL4201.
Police are asking that public do not approach or attempt to apprehend the suspect if seen, and that they contact local law enforcement immediately.
