Jan. 14

Joshua J. Carpenter, 39, 1803 Agner St., Ottawa, was remanded to the WORTH Center for tampering with evidence and aggravated possession of drugs. He was given credit for 88 days served. Charges of driving under suspension, failure to display, prohibition against consumption of beer in a motor vehicle were dismissed.

Raven D. Krontz, 38, 16847 Road 19, Fort Jennings, was sentenced to 90 days jail for violating community control. The violations included being in possession of drugs. She was given credit for 24 days served, must obtain and maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment as recommended. She had been convicted of possession of drugs (heroin).

John L. Kohli, Pandora, was granted a divorce from Kristina I. Kohli, Mount Cory. They were married July 11, 1992 in Randolph, Kan., and have two children.

Jan. 15

Michelle M. Oler, 32, 423 E. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 289 days in jail for violating the terms of community control. The violations included being in possession of drugs. She was placed on five years community and was given credit for 199 days served. She must obtain a GED, obtain and maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment recommended. She was originally convicted of possession of drugs (oxycodone).

Joseph M. Litten, 34, 14314 Road U13, Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 28 days jail for violating the terms of community control. The violations include getting into a physical altercation, consuming alcohol and failing to provide by the terms of supervision. He was given credit for time served, placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment and complete all treatment and counseling recommended. He was originally convicted of possession of drugs (cocaine).

Adam Koebel, 35, 631 W. Sycamore St., Apt. B12, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to nonsupport of dependents. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1 p.m. Feb. 25.

Austin Troy, 23, 1387 N. Cole St., Lima, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 8:30 a.m. Feb. 21. He was originally charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), aggravated possession of drugs (alprazoam), and aggravated possession of drugs (oxycodone).

Martin Chasco, 52, 220 W. Main Cross St., Apt. B, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to attempted felonious assault. He faces up to 36 months in prison and $10,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1 p.m. Feb. 21. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed.

TBF Financial, LLC, Deerfield, Ill., was granted a default judgment against Amanda DeGroat, Fort Jennings, in the amount of $25,480.92, plus interest and costs.

Jan. 16

A Special Prosecutor was appointed upon a motion of Putnam County Prosecutor Gary Lammers. The Ohio Attorney General appointed Deborah Gorrell Wehrle to act as a special prosecutor with respect to the alleged criminal offenses believed to have occurred in Putnam County involving possible criminal violations by a family member of the local law enforcement community. The court also ordered all records made in connection with this document be sealed for 90 days or until further order by the court.

Abel Alafa, 46, 212 N. Belmore St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to non-support. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 8:30 a.m. March 14.

Angela Ankney, 41, 11636 Huber Road, Sherwood, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence. She faces up to 36 months in prison and $10,000 in fines. The state is recommending a referral to the WORTH Center. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21. A charge of driving under suspension was dismissed.

Casey L. Landers, 30, 8640 W. State Road, Elida, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (heroin) and illegal conveyance of drugs. She faces up to 48 months in prison and $12,500. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 2 p.m. Feb. 21. There were three other counts possession of drugs that were dismissed.

Jan. 17

Jeremie J. Salaz, 33, 522 Walnut St., Ottawa, had his jail sentence modified to 50 days in jail and he was ordered to be released Jan. 18. He was in jail for violating the terms of supervision.

Benjamin J. Schnipke, 39, 182 Camden Drive, Van Wert, was sentenced to 63 days jail for being in contempt of court. The jail sentence was suspended provided monthly payments be paid of $125 until the balance is paid in full.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Jan. 7

Sandy A. Hill, 51, 1620 E. Main St., Apt. 1, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 145 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, two-years license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP, and complete drug/alcohol assessment. She also pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: Four points, 30 days jail, $250 fine, with sentence to be served concurrent. Charges of driving under OVI suspension, open container and signal before turning were dismissed.

Jan. 10

Mikayla Wright, 21, 425 W. Sugar St., Apt. B, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: $150 fine.

Alivea J. Yant, 25, 844 S. Oak St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no operator’s license. Sentence: $150 fine.

Dylan B. Okuley, 22, 3255 Road 23, Continental, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 90 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for six days jail upon completion of DIP, and complete drug/alcohol assessment. A charge of improper backing was dismissed.

Bradley M. Shafer, 19, 2482 Kimberly Drive, Lima, pleaded no contest to drug abuse/possession and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine, six-month license suspension.

Michael McLaughlin, 48, 17915, Road E-16, Continental, pleaded no contest to driving under suspension and was found guilty. Sentence: 30 days jail, $250 fine, permitted work release.

Jan. 11

Rhonda M. Redd, 42, 899 Lochhaven Blvd., Maumee, pleaded guilty to first-offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 90 days suspended, $750 fine, three-years license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP, and complete drug/alcohol assessment. A charge of left of center was dismissed.
