Socks donated to Joint Township surgery patients

ST. MARYS — A St. Marys doctor and his family have donated 182 pairs of festive socks to pediatric patients attending surgery at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

The “Socks for Surgery” were donated by Dr. James and Peggy Kemmler, along with their children, who both underwent surgery as children. The family hopes the socks “will provide comfort and lessen the fear of being in the hospital” for pediatric patients, according to Grand Lake Health System, owner of Joint Township District Hospital.
