LIMA — Lima has updated its Americans with Disability Act Transition Plan and will host a public meeting to gather feedback.
The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 in the council chambers in the Lima Municipal Building, 50 Town Square.
Persons with a disability who wish to request accommodation to participate in the public meeting should notify Ashley Blake at least seven business days prior to the meeting at 419-221-5288 or email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss accommodations. Lima will work with RTA for transportation needs. Every reasonable effort will be made to meet your need.
The transition plan requires public entities to evaluate its current services, policies and practices to ensure persons with disabilities are protected from discrimination on the basis of a disability. The plan includes a self-evaluation and improvement schedule of: communication, information and facility signage; building facilities and related parking lots; and pedestrian facilities within the public rights-of-way.
