LIMA — Detectives with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the theft of jewelry from a Lima business early Saturday morning.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 1:18 a.m. to Jewel Master, 2104 W. Elm St., in reference to an alarm activation. Upon arrival deputies found the glass on the front door was broken. Upon entering the business it was learned that several display cases had been shattered and the jewelry was stolen.
At this time, the amount of jewelry and a dollar value is still unknown, according to a department spokesman. The investigation is ongoing and the detective bureau is working to collect all evidence, including security footage of the incident.
