LIMA – Lima’s New Country 92.1 The Frog will drop off at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Allen County Children Services, 123 W. Spring St., a van full of gifts and other items for children involved with our agency.
The items will be collected the day before at Walmart on Harding Highway as part of the radio station’s second annual Care-A-Van event in which customers entering the store are asked to buy a gift and donate it for children involved with Children Services.
Each year the public has responded with overwhelming generosity to purchase gifts for children who may not receive a present this holiday season. The radio station will have representatives at Walmart from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to air, throughout the day, from the site encouraging people to come out, buy toys, children’s clothing, non-perishable foods, and household items they donate to help children and their families involved with our agency. The station’s morning shows will broadcast live from the scene and there will be two live breaks every hour throughout the day from the scene.
Spallinger Millwright makes a big donation. Sign Pro Imaging prints the flyers passed out at the store providing people with information about the Care-A-Van event and makes a donation.
