Nov. 30

Brandy L. Potter, 25, 1814 Dexter Ave., Portsmouth, was permitted to attend the Stepping Stone House Residential Treatment Program for Women which is a modification of her original jail sentence. She was placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment, complete all counseling and treatment recommended and obtain a GED.

Dec. 3

James C. Berger, 28, 68 Main St., West Leipsic, was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended each for resisting arrest and obstructing official business. He was fined $500 with $300 suspended and the sentence was ordered to be served concurrent. He must obtain and maintain employment, pay $250 in restitution and complete any counseling or treatment. A charge of assault was dismissed.

David M. Berridge, Jr., 619 Euclid St., Defiance, was found to be in arrears of child support payments in the amount of $10,865.81 as of Oct. 31. A hearing on his sentencing was set for 9 a.m. Feb. 14, 2019.

Dec. 4

Joel M. Delarosa, 28, 1570 N. Perry St., Apt. 4, Ottawa, was sentenced to 180 days jail for operation under the influence. The judge suspended 173 days of the sentence and gave him credit for six days jail upon completion of DIP. He was also fined $1,000 with $500 suspended and his license was suspended for one year. He must maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment recommended by his probation officer.

Dec. 5

JP Morgan Chase Bank, Columbus, was granted a foreclosure judgment against Edwin L. Suter, Ottawa, and Lou A. Suter, Ottawa, in the amount of $40,866.79, plus interest and costs.

Nov. 26

Craig J. Burris, 32, 400 West St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to points, penalties & appeals. Sentence: 180 days jail, 120 days suspended, $150 fine.

Nov. 27

Angela Ankney, 31, 11636 Huber Road, Sherwood, charged with tampering with evidence, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Jeremy J. Gibson, 21, 7990 Road 12, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to drug abuse/possession and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension. He was also fined $150 for drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 29

Michael A. Minjarez, 26, 204 W. Center St., Apt. B, Leipsic, pleaded no contest to drug paraphernalia and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension.

Kevin W. Patrick, 34, 1570 N. Perry St., Lot 38, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension. A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Jordan M. Nieto, 21, 1525 E. Third St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI second-offense. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $475 suspended, three-year license suspension, and complete alcohol and drug assessment. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.

Christian M. Garcia, 18, 1205 Riverside Ave., Defiance, pleaded no contest to drug abuse/possession and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine. He was also fined $150 for drug paraphernalia.

Megan C. Nelson, 21, 530 E. Hamilton St., Bryan, pleaded guilty to drug abuse/possession. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension. She was also fined $150 for drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Shartzer, 23, 1570 N. Perry St., Lot 52, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to drug abuse/possession. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension. He was also fined $150 for drug paraphernalia.

Shellby L. Larson, 24, 23313 McCutchenville Road, Perrysburg, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. Sentence: $350 fine, suspended, on condition of obtaining a valid license within 180 days. She was also ordered to pay costs for expired plates.

Christopher L. Camareno, 38, 415 W. Fourth St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of menacing. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, $250 fine.

Kristina L. Thomas, 34, 23169 Road M, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: 30 days jail, 27 days suspended, $250 fine, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of marked lanes was dismissed.

Joseph W. Berger, 49, 317 W. Sugar St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of tail/light required was dismissed.

Dec. 4

Jeremy J. Sturgeon, 35, 436 S. Jackson St., Bluffton, was found guilty of village income tax (Pandora). Sentence: $150 fine.
