ATM stolen from Lima restaurant

LIMA — Lima police are investigating the burglary of a Lima business early Monday morning.

According to Lt. Ronald Holman, someone broke into J’s American Pub at 2307 Spencerville Road at 1:30 a.m.

Once inside, the thieves seized the ATM machine.

A short time later, a van, matching a description of the one used in the burglary, was spotted at Martin Luther King Jr. Park.

Inside, officers found the ATM, but no cash.

Officers combed the area, receiving assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s helicopter in the search for the suspects but came up empty. The van, which was found to be stolen, was taken to Army’s on South Dixie Highway, where crime scene technicians could look for evidence.
