WAPAKONETA — The 12th annual Children’s Hometown Holiday will be Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 and 2 at various locations throughout Wapakoneta.
On Friday, Nov. 30, events include a skating rink open from 2:45-7:45 p.m., reindeer petting from 3-5 p.m. and a snowball drop contest for various age groups beginning at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, event highlights are a Christmas parade at 9:45 a.m. with camel rides, skating an ice sculptor, businesses giving treats and crafts, children’s karaoke, autographs by summer festival queens, a scavenger hunt, pony rides, carriage and train rides, musical groups entertaining, a petting zoo and more. Lunch is at St. Paul United Church of Christ, and a free movie at the Wapa begins at 1:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 6 p.m. at the middle school, and a live nativity begins at 7 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church.
On Sunday, Dec. 2, there will be a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m.-noon at the Knights of Columbus.
Events are free for children.
