PERRY TOWNSHIP — Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash just south of Lima Monday afternoon.
According to a sergeant with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Lima post, the accident occurred at 2:41 p.m. at the intersection of state Route 65 and Breese Road.
A 2008 Freightliner tractor-trailer, driven by Ricki Mooney, 34, of Sidney, Ohio, was northbound on state Route 65.
A 2012 Nissan Ultima driven by an unnamed 17-year-old was eastbound on Breese Road when he failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by the tractor-trailer.
Mooney was taken to Lima Memorial Health System while the 17-year-old driver and his 17-year-old passenger were taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, where they were treated for minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
