‘Large quantity’ of guns stolen Thanksgiving morning from Elida Road business


LIMA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in that occurred early Thanksgiving Day at an Elida Road gun store.

According to Detective Ryan Ream, Hesseling and Sons Firearms and Gunsmithing, 2818 Elida Road, was broken into by an unknown or persons at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday. The intruders made off with “a large quantity of guns,” said Ream.

No report concerning the incident was available Thursday.
