PERRY TOWNSHIP — Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire in Perry Township, Saturday.
It happened at 5:27 a.m. at 2000 E. Hanthorn Road, Apt. 5.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the eaves. When they got inside, they found smoke and flames in the attic area.
Perry received mutual aid from Harrod and Westminster Fire Departments.
It took about 35 minutes to bring the fire under control.
Damages to the building and contents is listed at between $30,000 and $37,000.
The tenant was not at home at the time of the fire.
There were no injuries.
