LIMA — A Lima teenager who police say in two days withdrew more than $4,000 from his grandmother’s bank account appeared in Allen County Common Pleas Court Friday.
Douglas Adams, 18, is charged in a Bill of Information with a fourth-degree felony count of theft.
According to court documents, Adams made 54 unauthorized withdrawals from his grandmother’s Superior Credit Union bank account on Oct. 8 and 9 of this year. The total amount withdrawn was $4,128.25.
Police say Adams and his co-defendant, Brittany Hover, were captured on camera at the credit union’s ATM machine making the 54 separate withdrawals. Adams was driving and Hover was in the passenger seat in each of the photos, police said.
Hover is also charged with theft.
