LIMA — The City of Lima’s leaf pickup program is scheduled to begin Nov. 12. At that time, residents of the first, fourth, fifth and sixth wards are asked to rake and pile their leaves to the curb lawn, but not in the street.
Pickup for residents in the second, third and seventh wards will occur a week later, starting Nov. 19.
After initial pickup, bags of leaves can be placed at the curb during regularly scheduled trash pickups. Bags are available to residents free of charge if they present their water bills. Bags can be found at 900 S. Collett St. or 424 N. Central Ave.
Prior to pick-up, tree and leaf debris can be taken to the Lima compost facility, 1227 E. Hanthorn Road. Access to the facility can be gained if residents show their water bills.
