Columbus Grove parks levy passes

COLUMBUS GROVE — Voters in Columbus Grove invested in their parks Tuesday, approving a levy to fund improvements.

Sixty percent of voters approved the 0.25 percent income tax over the next 15 years, with 446 voting for it and 303 voting against.

The levy was labeled an additional levy, but as a practical matter it replaces an existing levy passed 15 years ago that funded repairs at the municipal pool. The new levy is more broadly worded to include the pool, parks and recreational facilities.
