LIMA — Two men were taken into custody by Lima police early Monday for their alleged role in the break-in and robbery at a Lima carryout.

William Miller, 32, and Christopher Spicer, 22, both of Lima, were booked into the Allen County jail around 3 a.m. in connection with the robbery a few hours earlier at Daryl and Daryl’s Pizza and Wings, 1290 W. Robb Ave.

According to Sgt. Jason Garlock of the Lima Police Department, an alarm at the business sounded at approximately 12:12 a.m. Monday. Officers arrived at the scene and found that intruders apparently gained entry to the business through the roof of the store. Once inside, the robbers took an undetermined amount of cash and fled, Garlock said.

Miller and Spicer were apprehended by police a few hours later and were found with evidence linking them to the crime.

The case remains under investigation.
