PERRY TOWNSHIP — High winds hampered efforts to extinguish a house fire Saturday night in Perry Township.
According to deputy chief Jason Smedley, they got the call from an occupant of the home at 1736 S. Thayer Road around 6:30 p.m.
Perry Township Fire was assisted by fire departments from Westminster and Harrod.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The home was a total loss. No one was hurt.
