OTTAWA — An Ottawa man was flown to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo with unspecified injuries Thursday following a two-car crash in Putnam County.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at 5:54 p.m. to a roll-over crash on Road 5 at the intersection of Road 1 in Blanchard Township. According to a report issued by the sheriff’s department, officers upon their arrival found Christopher Marshall Jr. trapped inside his vehicle.

Marshall, 25, was driving his 2017 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck west on Road 1 and failed to yield the right of way to a 2012 GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by Russell Lammers, 27, of Leipsic, who was southbound on Road 5.

Marshall’s vehicle rolled onto its top, and the Ottawa man had to be cut out of it before being taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. Lammers was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Assisting at the scene were Putnam County EMS, Leipsic EMS, Ottawa EMS, Ottawa Fire Department, Ottawa Fire Department Heavy Rescue, Gilboa Fire Department and Imm’s Towing.
