LIMA — A Lima man crashed a vehicle into a business Wednesday, according to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 9 a.m., Jesse L. Williams of Lima, lost control of his 2005 Lincoln Town Car, crashing it into the Edward Jones office at 2304 Harding Highway while attempting to park the vehicle in a space beside the building. Williams was transported by Perry EMS to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle sustained damage and was towed from the scene. The building sustained significant damage, although no monetary estimate of damages was available.
Williams indicated that a possible defect with the vehicle’s acceleration pedal may have contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation.
