Crime Victim Services looking for guardian volunteers

LIMA — Crime Victim Services is currently looking for volunteers for its guardian program in Allen County.

Volunteer guardians are expected to help individuals in the program with healthcare, housing and other decisions regarding their daily needs and living arrangements. Volunteers will be compensated for mileage.

The CVS staff will assist with support services arrangements, housing, medical care, recreation, training reminders, annual reports and plans required by Allen County Probate Court.

Those who are interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend a one-hour orientation session at noon or at 6 p.m. Oct. 18. A light meal will be provided.
