Oct. 5

Nicholas T. Huizenga, 29, 2764 Road 22B, Continental, was sentenced to 180 days jail for violating a protection order. He was placed on five years community control and was given credit for 76 days served. A charge of burglary was dismissed.

Scott Stever and Patricia Stever were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married May 6, 1989 in Cleveland and have no minor children.

Oct. 10

Craig S. Parsons, 59, 27964 Hagy Road, Defiance, pleaded guilty to OVI. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $10,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10 a.m. Nov. 16. A charge of marked lanes was dismissed.

Oct. 11

Huntington National Bank, Columbus, was granted judgment against Lori L. Osborn, Continental, and Joseph R. Osborn, Continental, in the amount of $64,718.24, plus interest and costs.

Oct. 12

Jennifer A. Doty, Fort Jennings, was granted a divorce against Ray G. Doty, Irondale, Mo. They were married Oct. 25, 2013 in Putnam County and have no children.

Oct. 1

Nicholas A. Croy, 27, 18281 Road I-17, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to failure to stop after an accident. Sentence: 180 days jail, 90 days suspended, $100 fine, one-year license suspension. He also pleaded guilty to criminal damaging. Sentence: 90 days jail, 45 days suspended, $100 fine. He also pleaded guilty to two counts theft. Sentence: 180 days jail each count, 90 days suspended each count, $100 fine each count, jail sentences to be served consecutively.

Oct. 4

Joshua A. Melton, 35, 128 Dusler Drive, Hermitage, Tenn., pleaded guilty to drug paraphernalia. Sentence: $150 fine.

Oct. 5

Ramses D. Torres, 28, 371 Second St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to third-offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 360 days jail, 180 days suspended, $1,500 fine, $650 suspended, five-year license suspension, complete drug and alcohol assessment. A charge of expired plates was dismissed.

Oct. 8

Jessie A. Shafer, 33, 14057 State Route 111 Defiance, pleaded no contest to driving under suspension and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, $250 fine. A charge of license plate required is dismissed.

Oct. 9

Mackenzie K. Bartley, 18, 5850 Road 24, Continental, pleaded guilty to drug paraphernalia. Sentence: $150 fine, six-month license suspension.
