Allen County Sheriff’s Office will make donation to fight breast cancer

LIMA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office will make a $475 donation Wednesday morning to the Susan G. Komen organization to be used in the ongoing battle against breast cancer. A Komen representative will visit the sheriff’s office during the 11 a.m. roll call to receive the donation.

“As most of you have noticed, our employees have been wearing pink badges since Oct. 1 and will continue to do so until the end of the month,” said Andre McConnahea, public information officer for the sheriff’s office. “The employees purchased the pink badges themselves and with every purchase a $5 donation went to support Susan G. Komen’s mission,” McConnahea said.
