Suspect sought in Lima ATM robbery

LIMA — Police are searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of a man who was making a withdrawal from a Superior Credit Union ATM at 1400 N. West St.

According to reports, the robbery happened at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

“An unknown white male, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, gloves and a bandanna approached a patron in his car at the drive-up ATM, pointed a gun at him and demanded his money and wallet,” said Steve Stechschulte, Lima police detective.

The suspect then fled in a northeasterly direction on foot where he got rid of some of his clothing and then fled in an unknown direction.
