Sept. 28

Rachel R. Friesel, 37, 210 N. High St., Pandora, was sentenced to 60 days jail for gross patient neglect and forgery. She was placed on five years’ community control, must perform 100 hours community service and pay restitution of $4,536.88. She was ordered to obtain and maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment. Charges of involuntary manslaughter and patient neglect were dismissed.

Oct. 1

Destini M. Fenbert, 20, 13350 Road 3, Pandora, was sentenced to 60 days jail for gross patient neglect and forgery. She was placed on five years’ community control, perform 100 hours community service and pay restitution of $4,536.88. She was ordered to obtain and maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment. Charges of involuntary manslaughter and patient neglect were dismissed.

William E. Berry Jr., 46, Putnam County Jail, was remanded to jail pending placement to the WORTH Center for attempted illegal conveyance of drugs. He was ordered to obtain and maintain employment, complete all counseling and treatment and have no contact with the victim.

Bobby J. Risner, 55, 23426 State Route 114, Cloverdale, was referred to the WORTH Center program for possession of drugs. Risner was ordered to obtain and maintain employment, obtain a GED and complete all counseling and treatment.

Cheyenne L. Espinoza, 21, 1601 Arizona Drive, Findlay, was sentenced to 10 days jail for assault. She was given credit for one day served. She was ordered to obtain and maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment.

Samuel J. Williams, 22, 1570 N. Perry St., Lot 52, Ottawa, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for rape, 60 months for gross sexual imposition and 18 months for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The sentences were ordered to be served consecutive and he was given credit for time served. He was also classified as a Tier 3 sex offender and will be required to register with the authorities every 90 days.

Heather Burris, 41, 530 E. Kibby St., Lima, pleaded guilty to nonsupport of dependents. She faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. Nov. 28. Three other counts were dismissed.

Oct. 2

Russell G. Ellis, 20, 442 S. Harley St., Tiffin, was sentenced to 17 months in prison for violating community control sanctions. He was originally convicted of grand theft and obstructing official business.

Ted Sanchez, 40, 51 Third St., Lot 2, Leipsic, was sentenced to 30 days jail for being in contempt of paying child support. He was found in arrears in the amount of $26,229.06 as of Aug. 31, 2018. The judge suspended 23 days provided he remain current in his payments and keep the unemployment office informed of any changes in employment status.

Oct. 3

Douglas A. Gallaspie, 37, 8028 Richey Road, Van Wert, was remanded to the SEARCH program for theft of a check. He must obtain and maintain employment, comply with all counseling and treatment and obtain a GED.

The Jackson Township Trustees won judgment against the estates of Delbert J. Martin, Delphos, and Deborah J. Martin, Delphos, and their heirs, to remove junk vehicles, debris and nuisance conditions from their property in the township at their cost. If the parties fail to act, the trustees were ordered to remove the debris and place the cost on their tax duplicate.

Marcos L. Olivo, 20, 12439 Road 4, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (attempt). He faces up to 180 days jail, and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. Nov. 21.

Oct. 4

Stearns Lending, LLC, Virginia Beach, Va., was granted a foreclosure against Eric J. Guerra, Leipsic, in the amount of $77,733.91, plus interest and costs.

Samuel J. Caldwell, 44, 426 W. Cleveland St., Delphos, pleaded guilty to theft. He faces up to 180 days in jail and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 16. Court records show he has agreed to pay restitution of $1,025.32.

Oct. 5

Justin W. Sergent, 30, 347 Colony Trail, Lima, was sentenced 180 days jail for domestic violence. He was given credit for one day served and placed on five years’ community control. Sergent must obtain and maintain employment and comply with all counseling and treatment. He is to have no contact with the victim or possess any firearm.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Sept. 24

Heather S. Maag, 38, 16271 Road M, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of physical control. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $375 fine, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP.

Ronald E. Deal, 61, 12353 Road R, Columbus Grove, was found guilty of OVI following a trial. Sentence: 180 days jail, $1,000 fine, three-year license suspension. Another charge of OVI was dismissed.

Oct. 1

Nicholas G. Boissonneault, 21, 631 W. Sycamore St., Apt. A13, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. Sentence: 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, $250 fine. He also pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. Sentence: 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, $250 fine. Charges of domestic violence and expired registration were dismissed.

Oct. 4

Garry S. Fife, 38, 13594 County Road A, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. Sentence: $150 fine, six-month license suspension. A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Oct. 5

Jammie L. Smith, 47, 424 S. Baxter St., Lima, pleaded guilty to theft. Sentence: 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, $250 fine and not be present at a Walmart for two years.
