LIMA — Shawnee Street between Hill Street and Market Street will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, October 8, 2018, until May 2019 for the reconstruction of the intersection of Elm Street and Shawnee Street.

Roberts Avenue will be utilized as the north-south detour during this time period.

Lincoln Park will be accessed from the east by Elm Street and from the north by Shawnee Street.

The east parking lot of Stadium Park and Lima Stadium will be accessed from North Street by High Street, Sugar Street or Shawnee Street.

In addition, Bellefontaine Avenue between Elm Street and Harrison Avenue will be reduced from three lanes to two for the construction of a storm sewer. The remaining two lanes will be used to maintain traffic in both directions.

Additional information on the project and detour can be found at GOLIMA.org.
