LIMA — Lima police investigators are looking for a suspect in a shooting west of downtown Lima.

According to Lima Police Detective Steve Stechschulte, at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of a shooting victim.

“At this time we know there was a group of teenaged black males, hanging around in the 500 block of West North Street. They ended up in an alley just north of there, and one of the males shot one of the others, and everyone fled. We are still searching the area for evidence and video, and have no other information at this time. The victim is being treated for a gunshot wound that we don’t believe to be life-threatening,” said Stechschulte.

The identity of the victim and where the victim was taken to be treated was not released.
