LIMA – Lima police have identified two men believed to have taken part in the early-morning robbery on Tuesday of a Lima gas station and feel confident the remaining suspects will be known in the near future.

Detective Steve Stechschulte of the Lima Police Department said Millenium Florence and Dalentino Lacey, both 18 years of age and living in Lima, have been identified through fingerprints as suspects in the robbery of the Circle K gas station. The men remained at large Tuesday afternoon.

Police are also searching for a white male and at least one other black male who were captured on surveillance video at the gas station as taking part in the robbery. Stechschulte said police are “following up leads” and said he is confident the remaining suspects will be apprehended “within the next couple of days.” He said gloves believed to have been worn by one suspect have been found and are being sent off for forensic examination.

Police were dispatched to the Circle K, 20151 N. West Street, shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday in reference to the armed robbery. According to the Lima Police Department, a white male brandishing a knife — accompanied by three or four black males— approached the clerk at the business and demanded money from the cash drawer. Once the white male suspect had the cash, the group fled on foot from the property.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the remaining robbery suspects. Anyone who can identify the subjects in the photos is asked to contact the Lima Police Department, Stechschulte at 419-812-0059 or Crimestoppers at (419) 229-STOP.

Other weekend robberies

The Circle K incident was one of three armed robberies in the city during a span of less than 24 hours over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Knives were the weapons of choice in two of the robberies, while a firearm was used in the other incident.

Police were called at 4:14 p.m. Monday to the rear of the Game Stop store at 927 N. Cable Road in reference to an armed robbery. Little other information was available from police on Tuesday.

At 9:45 p.m. Monday police were dispatched to 427 N. Pierce St., Lima, in response to an armed robbery at a private residence. The assailants, said to be two while males, were said to be brandishing a firearm and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
