LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation and city of Lima are looking for public feedback on a proposed project to repair bridges at the intersection of state Route 65 (Elm Street) and county Route 509 (Pine Street) over the Ottawa River in Lima.
Construction would result in temporary road closures and traffic, vehicular and pedestrian, to be detoured. The Rotary Riverwalk/Ottawa River Corridor multi-use path would also be closed for the duration of the project, estimated to be approximately three months.
ODOT is also proposing to change the right-of-way at state Route 115 and Lincoln Highway intersection, north of U.S. 30, to improve sight distance problems and also proposing resurfacing portions of state Route 65 and state Route 309. Work on 65 would occur from Fourth Street to Elm Street in Lima. Work on 309 would will occur from Devonshire Drive to the Hardin County line.
