SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Shawnee Township late Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Shawnee Township Police Department, the crash occurred at 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of state Routes 501 and 117.
A fire department officer who was on the scene said a female driver of a northbound vehicle on 501, ran a stop sign and t-boned a westbound vehicle driven by a male.
That male driver was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Three other occupants of the westbound vehicle were not hurt, nor was the female driver and three passengers in the northbound vehicle.
No other information was available Tuesday night.
