Aug. 24

Eric D. Lambert, 30, 7990 Road 12, Ottawa, was sentenced to 180 days jail for domestic violence after being convicted following a jury trial July 10. The judge suspended 120 days of the sentence. He must participate in a drug and alcohol assessment and complete all recommendations. He must also complete a batterers treatment program.

Elden D. Nartker, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Kristy L. Nartker, Continental. They were married June 27, 2009 in Ottawa and have two children.

Aug. 27

Rebecca S. Hanneman, Ottawa, and Steven T. Hanneman, Ottawa, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Oct. 31, 2015 in Ottawa and have no children.

Denise Balbaugh, Ottawa, and Joseph Balbaugh, Ottawa, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Oct. 6, 1978 in New Cleveland and have no minor children.

Aug. 28

Mary A. Schmidt, Columbus Grove, was granted a divorce from Donald J. Schmidt, Columbus Grove. They were married Sept. 7, 2001 in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and have two children.

Kenneth Deitering, Leipsic, was granted judgment against John C. Biery, Lima, in the sum of $40,000 with no interest.

Aug. 30

Jacquelyn M. Beckner, Leipsic, and Jeremy E. Beckner, Leipsic, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Aug. 22, 2008 in Gulf Shores, Ala., and have two children.

Sheena Sellers, Ottoville, and Stephen Sellers, Fort Jennings, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married July 26, 2005 in Sevierville, Tenn. and have three children.

Aug. 20

Jessica A. Smith, 25, 109 S. Serif Drive, Lima, pleaded no contest to second-offense OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, $750 fine, $225 suspended, two-year license suspension, complete drug and alcohol assessment and abide by recommendations. Charges of open container and speeding were dismissed.

Aug. 21

Justin R. Maag, 24, 583 Old Orchard Drive, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. Charges of OVI and open container were dismissed.

Aug. 27

Jonathan M. Schroeder, 25, 15164 Road 13, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 30 days suspended, $750 fine, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days upon completion of DIP. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.

Mark L. Straley, 55, 63 Liberty St., Leipsic, pleaded no contest to OVI second-offense and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, $1,000 fine, five-year license suspension, and complete drug and alcohol assessment and treatment. Charges of OVI, unsafe motor vehicle, unauthorized/tampering reg/plates, and driving under FRA non-compliance were dismissed.

Sarah A. Owsley, 23, 134 N. High St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no operator’s license. Sentence: $150 fine.

Aug. 28

Cole D. Allison, 23, 12249 Blaine St., Scott, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no operator’s license. Sentence: $250 fine.

Justin L. Fricke, 26, 4241 McClain Road, Cridersville, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. Sentence: 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, $150 fine, complete mental health counseling and treatment.

Cole D. Allison, 23, 12249 Blaine St., Scott, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no operator’s license. Sentence: $250 fine.

Aug. 29

Justin Lammers, 19, 523 S. Perry St., Ottawa, pleaded no contest to assault and was found guilty. Sentence: 90 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, must perform 24 hours community service.
