Slabtown Road bridge to be replaced

BATH TOWNSHIP — The Slabtown Road bridge located between Sugar Creek Road and Lutz Road will be closed beginning Wednesday, Sept. 5, for bridge replacement. Construction is expected to last until Oct. 31.

Cost of the project is $521,692.50. The majority of the project will be funded by a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission. Roughly $100,000, or 20 percent, will be used as matching funds paid for by the Allen County Engineer’s Office.

R & I Construction Inc. will be completing the project.
