Lima post office holding passport fair Saturday

LIMA — The U.S. Postal Service’s Lima office is holding a passport fair at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, to make it easier to apply for a passport.

No appointments will be necessary during the passport fair and passport photo service will be available.

It is recommended that applicants download and complete an application at prior to arrival, have proof of U.S. citizenship on hand, bring both the original and a front and back photocopy of proof of identity and a recently taken 2-inch by 2-inch photograph. All applicants must be available in person and minors under 16 must appear with both parents. If both parents can not be present, a notarized authorization from the absent parent must be provided.

Proof of identity includes a current, valid drivers license, government or military photo ID, a recently issued certificate of citizenship, a recently issued naturalization certificate and/or a recently issued U.S. passport.
