No suspect yet in Sunday evening shooting in Lima

LIMA — Lima police are searching for the person or persons responsible for a Sunday evening shooting incident that left one man injured.

According to Detective Sean Neidemire of the Lima Police Department, at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday officers were dispatched to 1610 Bradfield in response to a shooting. Upon their arrival officers located Andrew Forrest, 32, with a gunshot wound to his leg. Forrest was transported to Lima Memorial Health System by paramedics, where he was admitted with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers subsequently learned the shooting took place at 1701 S. Central Ave. Detectives are still speaking with witnesses and gathering information, according to police. There is no suspect at this time.
