LIMA – A Lima firefighter has been placed on paid administrative leave following his arrest last week on sex-related charges.

Vince Ozier, Human Resources Director for the City of Lima, confirmed Tuesday that Gilbert Frew, 42, was placed on leave effective Aug. 17 and will remain on the administrative leave “until we get more information” about his case.

Frew, a resident of Spencerville, was indicted by an Allen County grand jury on Thursday on two counts of gross sexual imposition, felonies of the third degree, according to records from Allen County Common Pleas Court.

Ozier said Frew was hired by the city as a firefighter in 2003.
