Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Aug. 13

Mark L. Straley, 55, 63 Liberty St., Leipsic, pleaded no contest to domestic violence and was found guilty. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. Sept. 19.

Aug. 14

Ashley N. Reynolds, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Larry D. Reynolds, Jr., Social Circle, Ga. They were married March 26, 2010 in Monroe, Ga., and have one child.

Aug. 15

Daniel J. Acosta, 22, 1027 Washington Ave., Defiance, was sentenced to 13 days jail for attempted burglary. He was given credit for three days served and was placed on five years community control. He must obtain and maintain employment and complete all counseling and treatment recommended.

Putnam County Health Department was granted default judgment from Vickie Hernandez, Belmore. Hernandez is ordered to remove all debris or refuse from her premises at her costs. If Hernandez fails to remove all debris, the health department is ordered to remove it at her cost and assess the costs to the tax duplicate of the property.

Aug. 16

Christopher M. Shomsky, 34, 300 E. Main St., Belmore, was granted a reduction of sentence of three days. He was convicted in June of two counts permitting drug abuse.

Putnam County Municipal Court

Aug. 9

Jessy D. Layton, 33, 204 E. Main St., Belmore, charged with felonious assault, a felony, bound over to grand jury.

Cody K. Simpson, 19, 209 Broad St., Kalida, pleaded guilty to two counts drug paraphernalia. Sentence: $150 fine on each count, $100 suspended on each count. He was also fined $50 for drug abuse/possession and $50 for speeding.

Raymond Orengo, 19, 638 E. Main St., Ottawa, pleaded no contest to drug abuse/possession and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine, $100 suspended. A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Austin M. Troy, 23, 1387 N. Cole St., #4, Lima, driving under suspension forfeiture. Sentence: $1,000 fine, $500 suspended. He was fined $50 for left of center.

Aug. 10

Kevin Peth, 53, 300 E. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, pleaded no contest to driving under license forfeiture and was found guilty. Sentence: $1,000 fine, $750 suspended. He was also fined $50 for expired plates.

Aug. 16

Blaine M. Warnimont, 21, 13406 Road 22-K, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to criminal damaging. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, and must perform 20 hours community service.

Marcella C. Wright, 28, 495 Mill Creek Road, Louisa, Ky., pleaded guilty to driving under FRA non-compliance. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, $150 fine. A charge of failure to obey stop sign was dismissed.

Tori N. Gerding, 25, 115 E. Plum St., Kalida, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine. She was also fined $50 for speeding.

Aug. 13

Synchrony Bank, Hebron, Ky., default judgment v. Dellia M. Villearreal, Ottawa, $3,198.55, plus interest and costs.
